So Mavic recently made an announcement about their return to the US market with the opening of their US headquarters in Waterbury, VT.This makes me happy on many levels.Since pretty much supporting the brand solo since Mavic ceased operations here in 2019
They say that you grow when you leave your comfort zone. Well, I will have to get back to you on that. Being in front of a camera as the main subject is definitely one of those things that I am not comfortable doing.
It’s hard to believe that it has been 15 years since Campagnolo Ultra-Torque was introduced to the marketplace. I remember the day in 2007 when I was standing in a local bike shop holding the brand new Campagnolo Record Ultra-Torque crankset and saying out loud that this won't work. The shop owner looked at my like I was crazy.

When I first learned about the Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race, it was from an article in a mountain bike magazine sometime in the mid-'90s, and it was considered one of the top five most challenging mountain bike races in the world. There is no lack of information out there when it comes to bike maintenance and care. The issue is discerning what is accurate. This is why I'm introducing RogueMechanic Support and RogueMechanic Membership.
Mont Mavic is undoubtedly not the hill that I am willing to die upon, but it is one that I am inclined to put up a proper fight in defense of. The past year or so has been a challenge, to say the least, for the Mavic loyalists globally.
Frequently I get questions about where I am located and subsequently questions about international shipping (if I ship to a specific country, etc.). First of all, I am based in the US, and secondly, yes, I do ship internationally...
If you have been an owner of any Mavic wheel that has Zircal spokes and their FORE rim design, there’s a good chance that you have had to deal with the issue of the spokes seizing
I know what you’re thinking…this looks a little different, and wow, a new post…maybe I should let John know that his site has been hacked. Well, thanks for noticing and for your concern!
