This is the RogueMechanic Shim Kit made to solve the problem of axial movement in Campagnolo Ultra-Torque Press Fit bottom bracket systems.  This movement sometimes manifests into noise in the form of clicking and/or knocking.  This side-to-side movement also accelerates the wear of components.  This shim kit is machined here in the Cleveland area from high-quality, US-made high-quality PTFE with the help of my father-in-law.  The shim kit has a total of eight shims (four different thicknesses) so that you can precisely dial in the correct stack height.

These shims are designed to be installed internally, on the NDS semi-axle, either between the bearing and the wave washer or next to the bearing without the wave washer.

This set is only compatible with PRESS FIT cups such as BB30, BB30 A, BB86, PF30, BB386, BB Right, etc.  

This shim kit contains:

(2) .75mm (0.03")

(2) .50mm (0.02")

(2) .25mm (0.01")

(2) .13mm (0.005")

I’m going to install these shims this week but all the reading I’ve done, I’m very confident this will fix my BB axiel movement. So glad you cared enough to help fix a problem that Campy knows exists. Kudos to the Rogue Mechanic!

I put an older campag super record 11 crankset in a 2015 cannondale synapse carbon with a bb30a bottom bracket. There was some play. It rode alright, but was hard to keep a consistent chain line, so shifting was occasionally poor, and i got some creaking and clunking from time to time. I tried to come up with a solution from home bench, including pulling the bearing cups, and putting a 42mm inner diameter spacer between the cup and the frame (not a great idea).

Then I found this shim kit, ordered it, problem solved! After tinkering with different combinations, it turned out I had approx. 1.63mm of play to correct. No more inconsistent chain line. No more creaking or clunking. Great product, highly recommend! This bike is MUCH more pleasurable to ride now
